Bucht der Träumer* (August 8–12, 2024)

Once again, Bucht der Träumer* took place at Helenesee. With over 15,000 guests, it remains one of our biggest partner festivals. Since 2022, we’ve grown alongside the event, evolving our internal processes and practices.

Awareness on Site

With a team of about 50 people working in shifts of 4–10 people, we ensured a strong presence throughout the festival. But our support starts long before the event: year-round, our main team supports the structures of Bucht der Träumer* through trainings, case support, and strategy development.

What Was New in 2024?

We restructured our team model: previously, one shift leader was in charge. Now, each leader is supported by a supervisor, easing their workload and allowing for quicker responses to cases.

In partnership with psychologist Carina Sperk (Wildwasser e.V.), we co-developed new strategies to fulfill our collective duty of care for those affected by sexualized violence and other forms of discrimination.
These measures complement our existing awareness concept and aim to protect individuals while fostering communal accountability.

Conclusion

We’re proud to help make Bucht der Träumer* safer and more inclusive year after year – but we also know that evolving with society’s challenges is an ongoing responsibility.
Thanks again to the organizers for their continued trust.
